Ahn Bo-hyun and Jung Eun-chae are set to team up in a new season of SBS’s hit crime-comedy drama Flex X Cop. The series, which blends mystery, humor, and unconventional teamwork, will return with an upgraded story and refreshed character chemistry.
Season 2 Confirmed With the Original Creative Team
On December 3, SBS announced that Season 2 of Flex X Cop is officially in production. Director Kim Jae-hong and writer Kim Bada, the duo behind the first season’s success, will reunite once again. Ahn Bo-hyun and Jung Eun-chae have been confirmed as the season’s main leads. The sequel follows the events of the original series, which ended in March last year. Season 2 begins as the chaebol heir–turned–accidental detective returns to the police force after completing police academy training, rejoining the Major Crimes Unit Team 1.
Ahn Bo-hyun Reprises His Role as Jin Yi-soo
Ahn Bo-hyun returns as Jin Yi-soo, the immature third-generation chaebol who finds himself unexpectedly working as a detective. Known for his mix of clueless charm and overwhelming privilege, Yi-soo uses the immense wealth and influence of his chaebol family to solve crimes in his own thrilling, unpredictable way. His bold approach and unconventional crime-solving methods were key highlights of the first season, and expectations are high for an even bolder performance in Season 2.
Jung Eun-chae Joins as the New Partner and Team Leader
Season 2 introduces Jung Eun-chae as Joo Hye-ra, the stern and charismatic leader of Major Crimes Unit Team 1—Yi-soo’s new direct supervisor. The pair previously crossed paths at the police academy, where Hye-ra was known as the “devil instructor,” setting up a dynamic blend of tension, humor, and teamwork for the upcoming season. Their contrasting personalities are expected to create fresh chemistry and drive much of the season’s narrative energy.
