BLACKPINK’s Rosé Tops Billboard’s Year-End Global Charts With ‘APT.’ — Plus K-pop Dominates Hot 100 & Billboard 200 Rankings

BLACKPINK’s Rosé has achieved a major milestone on the global stage. Her hit collaboration “APT.” with Bruno Mars topped both Billboard’s Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts in the newly released 2025 Year-End Charts, proving its massive worldwide impact.

Billboard revealed its year-end rankings on December 9 (local time), showcasing the songs and albums that defined 2025 based on streaming and digital sales — the metrics most reflective of young listeners’ music consumption today.

‘APT.’ Achieves Global No.1 + Hot 100 Top 10 Finish

Rosé and Bruno Mars’ APT. didn’t just dominate globally — it also landed at No. 9 on the Hot 100 Year-End Chart, marking one of this year’s strongest K-pop crossovers.

Highlights for “APT.” include:

  • Global 200 Year-End No. 1
  • Global Excl. U.S. Year-End No. 1
  • Hot 100 Year-End No. 9
  • Peak Hot 100 rank: No. 3
  • Longest K-pop Hot 100 run: 45 weeks

The song maintained a staggering 45-week presence on the Hot 100, the longest ever for a K-pop act.

K-pop Takes Over the Hot 100 Year-End Chart Through ‘K-pop Demon Hunters’ OST

The Netflix animated K-pop blockbuster K-pop Demon Hunters (케데헌) also left a powerful footprint on the Hot 100 Year-End chart.

Seven OST tracks charted, including:

  • HUNTR/X — “Golden” (25)
  • HUNTR/X — “How It’s Done” (68)
  • HUNTR/X — “What It Sounds Like” (83)
  • HUNTR/X — “Takedown” (93)
  • Saja Boys — “Your Idol” (54)
  • Saja Boys — “Soda Pop” (61)
  • Lumi × Jinwoo — “Free” (92)

This marks one of the strongest OST performances in Hot 100 history — animated or otherwise.

Jimin Scores the Only K-pop Solo Entry on Hot 100 Year-End

BTS member Jimin secured No. 57 with his solo track “Who”, making it the only K-pop solo song to enter this year’s Hot 100 Year-End chart.

K-pop Presence on Billboard 200: Five Albums Make the Year-End Cut

Five K-pop albums appeared on the Billboard 200 Year-End Albums Chart:

  1. K-pop Demon Hunters OST — No. 13
  2. Rosé — ‘rosie’ (1st full album) — No. 112
  3. Stray Kids — ‘KARMA’ — No. 128
  4. Stray Kids — ‘合 (HOP)’ — No. 157
  5. KATSEYE — ‘BEAUTIFUL CHAOS’ EP — No. 182

Notably, Stray Kids’ two albums both previously hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 upon release.

World Albums: K-pop Sweeps the Top 5

K-pop dominated the World Albums Year-End Chart, filling nearly the entire top section:

  • No. 1 — Stray Kids ‘合 (HOP)’
  • No. 2 — Stray Kids ‘KARMA’
  • No. 4 — Jimin ‘MUSE’
  • No. 5 — ENHYPEN ‘ROMANCE: UNTOLD’

A clear sign of the genre’s continued global expansion.
