SEVENTEEN’s DK and Seungkwan are preparing to welcome the new year with a deeply emotional release, unveiling a winter-inspired album that explores love in its quietest, most intimate moments.
On December 17, the duo released a trailer titled ‘An Ordinary Love’ on SEVENTEEN’s official YouTube channel, offering the first glimpse of their upcoming first mini album ‘Night Song’ (Korean title: Soya-gok). Through cinematic storytelling, the video presents two contrasting love narratives each marked by subtle distance, longing, and unanswered emotion.
Two Stories, One Emotional Thread
In the trailer, DK portrays a relationship drifting toward silence. He hesitates to hang up an unanswered phone call, sharing the same space with his partner while facing different directions and moving out of sync. Visual metaphors wilted plants and dried fruit quietly reflect a love that has lost its vitality, emphasizing emotional exhaustion rather than confrontation.
Seungkwan, meanwhile, takes on the role of a part time worker at a comic book store. When a customer accidentally leaves behind a purchased book, he follows after them. Scenes of Seungkwan holding a comic titled ‘Blue’ intercut with his expression, creating a sense of curiosity and emotional openness that hints at a possible beginning rather than an ending.

The album title ‘Night Song’ translates to “a love song sung at night,” encapsulating the project’s central theme. The mini album is set to explore love in its many forms—meeting, stagnation, separation, and new beginnings—through a calm, introspective lens.
