UNIS is continuing its expansion in Japan, unveiling a brighter yet bolder side with the release of a new digital single that captures the fluttering emotions of young love.
On December 17 UNIS members Jin Hyeon-ju, Nana, Gehlee Dangca, Kotoko, Bang Yun-ha, Elisia, Oh Yoon-a, and Lim Seo-won released their second Japanese digital single, ‘mwah…’ (幸せになんかならないでね), through major online music platforms in Korea and Japan.
A More Honest Take on Love
Following their first Japanese single ‘Mosimoshi♡’ in September, which sweetly portrayed the excitement of falling in love, UNIS returns with a more straightforward and mischievous emotional approach. ‘mwah…’ delivers a playful yet daring message “Don’t be happy with anyone other than me” expressing affection, jealousy, and vulnerability in a charmingly honest way. The track highlights the group’s youthful personality, blending cuteness with a subtle sense of boldness that feels natural rather than forced.
A Bright Sound with Addictive Appeal
Musically, ‘mwah…’ stays true to UNIS’ signature bright and upbeat style. Its bouncy melody line pairs seamlessly with a repetitive, catchy chorus, creating an instant earworm that lingers long after the song ends.
