LE SSERAFIM has once again proven its strong foothold in Japan, earning the highest year-end singles ranking among all K-pop girl groups on Oricon’s annual charts.
On December 17, Oricon released its ‘Oricon Year End Rankings 2025,’ covering works released between December 23, 2024, and December 15, 2025. LE SSERAFIM Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae successfully placed every single they released during the tracking period onto the rankings, highlighting their consistent performance in the Japanese market.
Top Ranking for a K-pop Girl Group
LE SSERAFIM’s fourth Japanese single ‘DIFFERENT,’ released in June, ranked No. 50 on the Oricon Year End Singles Chart, marking the highest position achieved by a K-pop girl group on this year’s list.
The group’s presence did not stop there. Their third Japanese single ‘CRAZY,’ released in December last year, placed No. 53, while their Korean single album ‘SPAGHETTI,’ released in October, ranked No. 63. With multiple entries across the chart, LE SSERAFIM emerged as the Korean girl group with the most titles listed, reinforcing their steady popularity in Japan.
Strong Album Performance as Well
LE SSERAFIM also made a notable impact on Oricon’s Year-End Album Ranking. Their fifth Korean mini album ‘HOT,’ released in March, entered the chart at No. 63. The album previously demonstrated impressive sales momentum, selling approximately 70,000 copies on its release day in Japan alone and topping Oricon’s Daily Album Ranking on March 15. To date, all six of LE SSERAFIM’s Korean albums have reached No. 1 on Oricon’s daily album chart, a rare achievement that underscores their strong fanbase and purchasing power.
Tokyo Dome Encore Draws Massive Attention
Beyond charts and sales, LE SSERAFIM’s live performance power has also stood out. In November, the group held encore concerts for their world tour at Tokyo Dome on November 18 and 19, drawing a combined audience of 80,000 fans over two nights.
The concerts attracted exceptional media attention, with Japan’s five major sports newspapers Sports Nippon, Daily Sports, Nikkan Sports, Sports Hochi, and Sankei Sports publishing special editions spotlighting the performances and the fervent crowd response. Such coverage is typically reserved for top-tier domestic acts, signaling LE SSERAFIM’s elevated status in Japan.
Looking Ahead
LE SSERAFIM’s momentum in Japan shows no signs of slowing. The group is set to perform on ‘COUNTDOWN JAPAN 25/26,’ Japan’s largest year-end indoor music festival, on December 28. Notably, they are the only K-pop girl group included in this year’s lineup.
With strong chart results, sold out dome concerts, and major festival appearances, LE SSERAFIM’s 2025 performance in Japan reflects more than short term success it signals a firmly established presence and growing influence in one of the world’s most competitive music markets.
