Actor Gong Myung was recently hospitalized after experiencing dizziness, his agency has confirmed.
On December 31, Saram Entertainment told local media that Gong Myung is currently receiving medical care after showing symptoms of dizziness. The agency added that he is expected to return to filming within the week.
Earlier reports suggested that Gong Myung had been hospitalized due to sudden hearing loss while filming tvN’s upcoming drama Confidential Audit. Sudden hearing loss is a condition characterized by an abrupt decline in hearing over a short period without a clear cause. However, the agency did not confirm specific medical details, stating only that he was admitted for treatment and that his condition is being monitored.
At the same time, the agency emphasized that Gong Myung’s recovery is progressing and that plans are in place for him to resume his scheduled activities soon.
Gong Myung is set to appear in two upcoming television projects. Confidential Audit is a romantic comedy centered on a charismatic head of an audit team with a hidden secret and a former top auditor who is reassigned to handle internal scandals. The series is scheduled to air in the first half of 2026.
He is also slated to star in MBC’s new drama Your Ground, a youth romance that follows a former baseball player whose career was derailed by a single setback and his journey back to the field with the help of a former lawyer turned sports agent. The drama is expected to premiere in the second half of 2026.
