Park Bo-gum is set to surprise viewers with a completely new transformation—this time not as an actor, but as a certified hairdresser ready to warm hearts in a remote countryside village.

A New Journey Begins

tvN’s upcoming variety program Bogum Magical is scheduled to premiere on January 30 at 8:40 PM, and recently released teaser footage has already captured attention. The show follows Park Bo-gum, who holds a national barber license, as he opens a special hair shop in a quiet rural town—offering not just haircuts, but comfort and connection.

Alongside him are his close friends Lee Sang-yi and Kwak Dong-yeon, who join him in running the shop and building bonds with local residents.

First Day at “Bogum Magical”

In the first teaser released on January 2, Park Bo-gum is seen walking through a snow-covered village on his way to work. Carrying practice mannequin heads, bags of supplies, and a backpack slung over his shoulders, he steps forward with a mix of excitement and determination—perfectly capturing the nerves of someone starting a brand-new chapter.

When he finally arrives at his destination, Park Bo-gum can’t hide his admiration, softly exclaiming, “It’s beautiful.” The building that will house Bogum Magical is a renovated old home, once neglected but now transformed into a cozy, welcoming space filled with warmth and character.

“A Place Where Magic Happens”

Park Bo-gum describes Bogum Magical as “a place where magic happens,” raising anticipation for the heartfelt makeovers to come. Rather than focusing solely on appearances, the show promises moments where hair, conversation, and emotional healing come together—each haircut becoming a small act of transformation.

Viewers can expect stories that are unique to this shop, shaped by the wishes and lives of its customers, and guided by Park Bo-gum’s gentle sincerity.

A Year in the Making

According to the production team, Park Bo-gum, Lee Sang-yi, and Kwak Dong-yeon spent nearly a year preparing for the program. From selecting the village to participating in renovations and interior design, the trio was deeply involved from the ground up. Though they may be inexperienced at running a salon, their dedication and genuine care are said to shine through in every interaction.

A Fairytale-Like Healing Show

Park Bo-gum’s latest challenge as the “hairdresser in charge” will officially unfold when Bogum Magical premieres on January 30, exclusively on tvN.
