Global superstars BTS are officially returning as a full group this spring. On January 5, the group confirmed that their fifth full-length album will be released on March 20 at 1 PM KST, marking one of the most anticipated comebacks in recent K-pop history.
First Full-Group Album in Nearly Four Years
The announcement was made at midnight through fan platform Weverse, immediately sending excitement through the global ARMY fandom. The upcoming album will be BTS’s first full-group release since their 2022 anthology album Proof, which arrived 3 years and 9 months ago.
As a studio album, the gap is even more significant. BTS last released a full-length record in February 2020 with Map of the Soul : 7, making this their first proper studio comeback in over six years.
14 Tracks Capturing “Today’s BTS”
The new album will feature 14 tracks, carefully crafted to reflect who BTS are today. According to the group, the members spent the second half of 2025 deeply involved in the album’s production, contributing personal thoughts, emotions, and creative direction to shape its overall identity.
Each track reportedly carries the weight of the group’s journey—the doubts, growth, reflections, and resolve accumulated over the years. Just as importantly, the album is said to hold a strong message of gratitude toward fans who patiently waited for BTS’s return as seven.

World Tour Announcement on the Way
Adding to the excitement, BTS also revealed that world tour details will be announced on January 14 at midnight. This will be their first large-scale global tour since BTS Permission to Dance On Stage, which concluded in Las Vegas in April 2022.
With nearly four years having passed since their last tour, anticipation is high for what promises to be a massive global event.
