K-pop group 2PM is preparing to reunite as a full group to celebrate a major milestone. The group is currently getting ready for a concert in Japan to commemorate the 15th anniversary of their Japanese debut.

On January 6, JYP Entertainment confirmed that 2PM is planning a local concert in Japan in honor of the anniversary, adding that further details regarding the schedule and venue will be announced at a later date.

A Legacy Built in Japan

2PM first debuted in South Korea in 2008 and officially entered the Japanese market in May 2011. From the start, their presence drew massive attention. Their Japanese debut showcase reportedly attracted around 25,000 fans, signaling the beginning of strong local popularity.

Just two years after their Japanese debut, 2PM made history by performing at Tokyo Dome, drawing a combined audience of approximately 110,000 over two days. The achievement cemented their status as one of the most successful Korean groups in Japan.

Full-Group Momentum Builds Again

The group’s most recent full-member album was MUST, released in 2021. Since then, the members have remained active across music, acting, and variety shows, maintaining strong individual careers while continuing to express their commitment to group activities.

In a past interview, member Jang Woo-young emphasized that 2PM remains an inseparable part of his identity, sharing that despite busy solo schedules, the members consistently discuss how and when they can return with new music, performances, and projects together.

Anticipation for 2026 Grows

With several major K-pop acts expected to be active in 2026, 2PM’s upcoming anniversary concert adds to growing excitement surrounding the year’s music scene. Their return as a complete group, even through a commemorative concert, is drawing attention from long-time fans and industry observers alike.

As 2PM approaches its 15th year in Japan, the upcoming concert stands as both a celebration of their journey and a reaffirmation of their ongoing bond as a group. Further announcements are expected soon through official channels.
