“Fear, Trials, and Sunlight”: LE SSERAFIM in ‘DICON’

LE SSERAFIM has never followed someone else’s pace. Instead, the group has moved forward at its own rhythm unafraid, relentless, and constantly evolving. That journey is now fully documented in ‘DICON’ Issue No.32, which names LE SSERAFIM as its latest cover stars.

This edition of DICON presents LE SSERAFIM through two contrasting concepts, designed to reflect both their inner core and their unstoppable momentum: ‘Limitless Rhythm’ (Type A) and ‘Endless Tempo’ (Type B). Across 160 pages, the pictorial traces how the group transformed fear into strength and setbacks into fuel for growth.

“We Accept Challenges Without Fear”

LE SSERAFIM’s story is one of deliberate forward motion. Rather than stopping at moments of crisis, the members chose to recalibrate and keep moving creating their own rhythm along the way. “We tend to accept challenges instead of avoiding them,” said Kazuha. “We enjoy transforming ourselves. All of that builds up over time and becomes something only LE SSERAFIM can do on stage.” That philosophy runs through the entire DICON feature, visually and emotionally.

Type A: ‘Limitless Rhythm’ Softness Without Fear

The ‘Limitless Rhythm’ version captures LE SSERAFIM in their most natural, unguarded state. The concept highlights innocence and quiet strength fearless yet pure. Wrapped in white bedding, holding plush dolls, wearing angel wings, and standing beneath warm sunlight as feathers drift through the air, the members reveal a gentle side that feels intimate rather than staged.

Kim Chaewon selected her favorite cut featuring a red apple, sharing that she personally asked the photo director to include it. Hong Eunchae described the shoot as “bright and refreshing,” noting how naturally the atmosphere came together.

Type B: ‘Endless Tempo’ Energy That Never Slows

If Type A is softness, Type B ‘Endless Tempo’ is pure force. This version visualizes the energy with which LE SSERAFIM has carved out its place in the global music scene bold, experimental, and unapologetic.

Chaewon headbangs freely to loud beats. Yunjin appears with bleached brows, striking daring poses atop a truck. Sakura, dressed in black, radiates sharp charisma. Kazuha transforms into a sports car racer with a sleek mid-length haircut, while Eunchae blends icy visuals with playful curiosity, exploring vending machines and arcade games.

Each member fully inhabits even the most unfamiliar concepts, reinforcing LE SSERAFIM’s reputation for fearless reinvention.

Words to FEARNOT: Gratitude, Courage, and the Future

Beyond visuals, DICON also captures the members’ heartfelt messages to FEARNOT, their fandom. The interviews are filled with gratitude, reflection, and quiet determination. Sakura defined fans as her source of courage, saying: “I love showing new sides of myself and taking on challenges. Knowing I have people on my side every time gives me incredible strength.”

For LE SSERAFIM, the future they envision is built together. Huh Yunjin shared, “I hope we become a relationship that shares the strength to live. Just as fans helped shape who we are, I want us to help shape their lives too.”

Editor’s Notes

LE SSERAFIM’s DICON feature feels less like a photoshoot and more like a visual manifesto of who they have become.

The dual concept structure, ‘Limitless Rhythm’ and ‘Endless Tempo,’ is not just an aesthetic choice. It reflects the group’s core identity: balancing vulnerability with intensity. Where many groups separate “soft” and “powerful” images across eras, LE SSERAFIM presents both at once, suggesting that growth comes from embracing contradiction rather than choosing one side.

What stands out is how intentionally the narrative is framed around resilience. The emphasis on fear, trials, and transformation aligns with the group’s real career trajectory, where challenges have not slowed them down but instead reinforced their identity. This gives the pictorial a sense of authenticity that goes beyond typical idol visuals.

The members’ direct involvement, from Chaewon requesting specific shots to the personal messages for FEARNOT, also signals a shift toward more artist-driven storytelling. It is no longer just about how they are presented, but how they choose to present themselves.

In the broader context of K-pop, this kind of editorial positioning matters. As the industry becomes more saturated, groups that can clearly define and communicate their narrative stand out. LE SSERAFIM is not just selling an image here. They are reinforcing a philosophy.

If anything, this DICON issue captures a group that is no longer proving itself, but defining its own standard moving forward.
