Rookie girl group ILLIT have added yet another milestone to their rapidly growing discography, securing a new 100 million stream track on Spotify and further cementing their global streaming power.
According to Spotify’s latest data as of January 12, ILLIT’s song ‘Do the Dance’, the title track from their third mini album ‘BOMB,’ has surpassed 100 million cumulative streams, reaching approximately 100.05 million plays. The achievement marks the group’s fifth song to cross the 100 million stream threshold on the platform.

A Consistent Streaming Track Record
ILLIT’s streaming success began with their debut title track ‘Magnetic,’ which has amassed over 700 million streams on Spotify. The song set a notable record as the fastest K-pop debut track to reach that figure, achieving the milestone in just one year and seven months since release.
In addition to ‘Magnetic’ and ‘Do the Dance,’ several other tracks have joined the 100 million club. These include ‘Lucky Girl Syndrome,’ a fan favorite B-side from their first mini album, ‘Cherish,’ the title track from their second mini album, and ‘Tick-Tack,’ another B-side that gained steady traction through streaming playlists and short form video platforms.
Why ‘Do the Dance’ Resonated
‘Do the Dance’ stands out for its playful storytelling and distinctive concept. The song captures the nervous excitement of a first date, expressed through whimsical lyrics such as “nyang” sound effects that mimic cat like behavior. Its lighthearted tone is paired with choreography inspired by feline movements, which helped fuel viral challenges and fan created content across social media. The track’s creative approach also drew international attention. U.S. music outlet PopMatters selected ‘Do the Dance’ as one of the “15 Best K-pop Songs of 2025,” praising it for “opening the door to new musical experimentation” within the genre.
Ongoing Global Momentum
ILLIT’s momentum shows no signs of slowing. The group recently released their single album ‘NOT CUTE ANYMORE,’ which debuted at No. 7 on Billboard’s ‘Bubbling Under Hot 100’ chart. The placement highlights their growing presence in the U.S. market and continued expansion beyond Asia.
