BTS are officially returning as a complete group this spring, and the scale of anticipation is already reshaping cities, markets, and global headlines. With their long awaited full group comeback and world tour now confirmed, the group’s influence is once again proving to be unmatched extending even to hotel prices near concert venues.
On March 20, BTS will release their fifth full length album, ‘ARIRANG’, marking their first group album in three years and nine months. The release follows the completion of all seven members’ military service and signals a symbolic reset for the group. According to their agency, the album will reflect BTS’ roots, identity, and the emotions they’ve carried through their hiatus, positioning it as both a musical and narrative return.

A Comeback That Moves Entire Cities
Excitement escalated on January 14 when BTS revealed the official poster for their upcoming world tour via Weverse. The tour will kick off with three stadium shows at Goyang Sports Complex on April 9, 11, and 12, before expanding across North America, Europe, South America, and Asia.
The scale is historic: 34 cities, 79 shows, making it the largest single tour ever announced by a K-pop act. Additional dates in Japan and the Middle East are expected to be added, further amplifying demand. One stop drawing particular attention is Busan, where BTS will perform on June 12–13 a date especially meaningful as June 13 marks their debut anniversary.
Hotel Prices Soar, Fans Push Back
With tour dates announced, controversy quickly followed. In Busan, accommodation prices reportedly surged by up to 10 times. Some hotels that previously charged around ₩60,000 per night raised rates to as high as ₩700,000 during the concert period. In response, fans have mobilized online, sharing a “fair price accommodation list” under dedicated hashtags to help fellow ARMY avoid inflated costs highlighting both the economic impact of BTS’ return and the strength of their fan community.
Global Media Takes Notice
International media have been quick to spotlight the moment. CNN described BTS’ return as the revival of a group that “helped transform K-pop into a global cultural force.” Forbes called the tour “one of the most ambitious in the group’s history,” noting that its stadium focused scale places BTS alongside the world’s biggest touring artists.
More Than a Comeback
As BTS prepare to reunite on stage after four years, this comeback is shaping up to be more than a musical event it’s a global phenomenon. From record breaking tour plans to real-world economic ripple effects, BTS’ return confirms one thing clearly: their presence still moves the world.
