EXO is set to return as a complete group, unveiling a new chapter in their career with the release of their eighth full length album ‘REVERXE’ later today.
According to SM Entertainment, EXO will release ‘REVERXE’ on January 19 at 6 p.m. KST across major music platforms. Ahead of the release, the agency offered a detailed preview of the title track and B sides, highlighting the album’s sonic diversity and performance driven focus.

Title Track ‘Crown’ Signals a Powerful Return
The album’s title track, ‘Crown,’ is described as a hard-hitting dance song built on Atlanta trap-style drums, heavy metal guitar riffs, and layered EDM synths. Siren like sound effects and EXO’s signature powerful vocals form the core of the track, creating a dramatic and high energy atmosphere.
Lyrically, ‘Crown’ functions as a dedication song, comparing a precious person to a crown. The lyrics express a determination to protect what matters most at all costs, reinforcing themes of loyalty and resolve. The choreography further amplifies this message, featuring symbolic movements that evoke claiming and placing a crown, adding a clear visual narrative to the performance.
Nine Tracks Showcasing Contrast and Depth
‘REVERXE’ features a total of nine tracks, each highlighting a different emotional tone and genre. Previously revealed songs such as winter themed fan track ‘I’m Home’ and ‘Back It Up,’ first performed at MMA 2025, are included in the album, offering familiarity alongside new material.
Other tracks expand the album’s emotional range. ‘Crazy’ captures the intensity of love spiraling into obsession, while ‘Suffocate’ explores the pain of separation through restrained grooves. ‘Moonlight Shadows’ leans into R&B pop, painting a romantic nighttime mood, while ‘Touch & Go’ uses the metaphor of falling dominoes to describe the gradual shift of emotions. Mid tempo pop track ‘Flatline’ compares life to a journey at sea, delivering a reflective close to the album. Together, the tracklist presents a carefully balanced mix of performance-focused songs and introspective moments.
A Return Framed by Performance and Narrative
An SM Entertainment representative stated that EXO’s new release signals “the return of true kings to the K-pop scene in 2026,” adding that the music video will spotlight the group’s performance highlights and symbolic storytelling.
To mark the comeback, EXO will hold an on and offline showcase on January 19 at 7:30 p.m. KST at Kyung Hee University’s Peace Hall in Seoul, giving fans their first live look at the new era.
