TWICE leader Jihyo is taking another major step into the global music scene, this time through a collaboration with rising American R&B artist Jenevieve.
On May 8, the two artists officially released “Hvnly (feat. JIHYO of TWICE)”, a new alternative R&B pop track that blends Jenevieve’s smooth, atmospheric sound with Jihyo’s powerful vocals. The collaboration immediately drew attention online, especially among fans excited to hear Jihyo explore a softer and more soulful musical style outside of TWICE’s signature sound.

Jihyo Expands Beyond K-Pop With R&B Collaboration
The song appears on Jenevieve’s deluxe album ‘CRYSALIS (CODA)’ and serves as a remix version of her previous track “Hvn High.” Known for songs such as “Love Quotes” and “Baby Powder,” Jenevieve has steadily gained recognition within the U.S. R&B scene for her dreamy vocals and alternative sound. Her collaboration with Jihyo marks a notable crossover between Korean pop and modern American R&B.
Fans online quickly praised how naturally the two voices blended together, with many describing the track as “smooth,” “dreamy,” and “unexpectedly addictive.”
Jihyo Continues Building Her Own Musical Identity
While globally recognized as the leader and main vocalist of TWICE, Jihyo has increasingly expanded her individual artistry in recent years. In 2023, she made her solo debut with the mini album ‘ZONE’, earning praise for showcasing a more mature and performance-driven side of herself.
She has also contributed to multiple soundtrack projects, including:
- “TAKEDOWN” from Netflix’s animated hit ‘K-pop Demon Hunters’
- “Stardust Love Song” from the drama ‘Twenty-Five Twenty-One’
The new collaboration with Jenevieve further highlights Jihyo’s growing versatility as an artist capable of moving between K-pop, OSTs, and international R&B influences.

TWICE Continue Breaking Global Records
The release also comes as TWICE continues its record-breaking world tour ‘THIS IS FOR’.
The group recently became the first K-pop group and the first overseas artist in Japanese history to headline Tokyo National Stadium, drawing approximately 240,000 fans across three concerts. TWICE also set a new record for the largest North American tour attendance ever achieved by a K-pop girl group, attracting around 550,000 fans across 35 shows in 20 cities earlier this year.
The group will continue its European tour beginning May 9 in Lisbon. As global K-pop coverage platforms continue highlighting the growing crossover between Korean artists and international music scenes, Jihyo’s collaboration with Jenevieve reflects how K-pop stars are increasingly expanding beyond traditional genre and market boundaries.
And for many fans, “Hvnly” feels like exactly the kind of collaboration they want more of.
