After shaking Tokyo Dome for their 15th Japanese debut anniversary, 2PM is finally bringing ‘THE RETURN’ back to Korea.
The announcement came after the group completed its two-night concert ‘THE RETURN’ at Tokyo Dome on May 9 and 10, where fans were surprised with news of another major performance.

2PM Return to Tokyo Dome After 10 Years
The Tokyo Dome concerts were already emotional for longtime fans.
The shows marked 2PM’s return to the iconic venue for the first time in nearly a decade since their final Tokyo Dome concert before members began military enlistments in 2016. It was also their first Japanese concert in over two and a half years following ‘It’s 2PM in Japan’ at Ariake Arena in 2023.
Throughout the concert, 2PM performed a setlist packed with iconic hits including:
- “Heartbeat”
- “Hands Up”
- “My House”
- and several Japanese releases celebrating their 15th anniversary in Japan.
The performances reminded fans why 2PM remains one of the defining second-generation K-pop groups.
“I’ll Be Back” Becomes More Than Just a Song
One of the most emotional moments came during the finale, when the members performed their hit song “I’ll Be Back.”
For fans, the song carried a deeper meaning this time.
After years of military service, solo careers, acting projects, and scattered schedules, the group’s reunion on stage felt less like nostalgia and more like proof that 2PM’s identity as a team still remains strong.
The upcoming Inspire Arena concerts are expected to continue the energy and emotional atmosphere created in Tokyo Dome.

Why Fans Are Emotional About This Comeback
For many longtime K-pop fans, 2PM’s return represents something bigger than another concert announcement.
As the K-pop industry continues rapidly changing with newer generations of idols, second-generation groups reuniting as complete teams has become increasingly rare especially at large arena scale.
That is part of why reactions online have been especially emotional, with fans celebrating not just the concerts themselves, but the fact that 2PM continues returning together after nearly two decades in the industry.
And this August, 2PM will once again prove why they are still called legends.
