On a night built around a departing designer, the BLACKPINK star walked the CFDA red carpet for the first time in Saint Laurent gold, and she is back on stage in Los Angeles this weekend.
BLACKPINK’s Rosé attended the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York on Monday, Nov. 2, for the first time, in a gold brocade crop top and a coordinating midi skirt by Saint Laurent, according to Elle. She appeared alongside Hailey Bieber, Zoë Kravitz and Anja Rubik, all dressed in gold looks from the label’s Spring 2027 collection, to support designer Anthony Vaccarello, who won the International Designer of the Year Award, WWD reported.
The ceremony was held at the American Museum of Natural History. For Rosé, it was also the second major U.S. red-carpet appearance in about two weeks, after the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Oct. 17, where Elle noted she wore a sheer black Saint Laurent gown with Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

A Tribute Look at a Moment of Change at Saint Laurent
The gold theme was deliberate. Harper’s Bazaar said the looks were pulled from Vaccarello’s final collection at Saint Laurent, a Spring/Summer 2027 show staged in front of the Eiffel Tower during Paris Fashion Week, according to Harper’s Bazaar. About a week later, Saint Laurent’s owner Kering confirmed that Vaccarello is leaving the house after a decade as creative director, with a successor still to be named, WWD reported on Oct. 9.
Harper’s Bazaar said her outfit was a sleeveless cropped top and a midi skirt with a split hem, both embellished with beadwork, the top edged in large gold studs and styled with gold sandals. WWD added that she styled her bleach-blond hair in two loose braids with face-framing strands left out and finished the look with a glossy pink lip.
Why This Appearance Stands Out
Our reading of the coverage is that the CFDA appearance was less a fashion debut than a show of loyalty. Rosé was one of four women who stood with Vaccarello on the red carpet, and the coverage describes them as people the designer dressed. Elle noted that it was her first time at the annual ceremony, so the appearance reads as a U.S. fashion-industry event rather than a music-show stage or a brand campaign.
That framing is our own interpretation. Neither Saint Laurent nor Rosé’s representatives have commented on what the appearance means for her future with the brand, and we are not aware of any announcement about it.

Next Stop: LACMA’s Art+Film Gala This Saturday
Rosé will not have long to rest. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art announced on Oct. 13 that she is the musical guest at its 2026 Art+Film Gala on Saturday, Nov. 7, honoring artist Vija Celmins and filmmaker Denis Villeneuve. LACMA’s announcement lists LACMA trustee Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio as co-chairs. We covered the original announcement in our earlier report on Rosé’s LACMA performance.
Elle also reported that Rosé is working on her second solo album, which she said in a September Vogue interview will arrive in 2027. She said she is still finding the “fine line” between the world she wants to create and who she is evolving into, and that she plans to introduce a new era of her music next year. No release date has been announced.
What It Means for BLACKPINK’s U.S. Moment
Rosé’s week comes as the group’s members keep appearing in U.S. headlines. On the Billboard charts dated Nov. 7, Jennie’s “Dracula” returned to No. 5 on the Hot 100, and Lisa’s “Press Play” debuted at No. 35 on the Billboard 200, Yonhap reported. In Korea, BLACKPINK became the first K-pop girl group to receive the Okgwan Order of Cultural Merit, as we reported last week, and Jisoo’s “ADDICTED” topped iTunes charts in 28 regions ahead of her return to music shows.
